Exploring The Unfamiliar
From the known to the unknown,
Delving deeper and deeper still,
Where thoughts of the surface transcend imagination,
Reality becomes a distant fantasy.
The security of knowledge,
While meant to protect, can ensnare,
Its shackles transforming into personal adornment,
For what you know won't harm, but won't excite.
It won't delve, won't ignite,
Nor instill the passion that defines you,
So who are you, truly?
A passerby, a wanderer, a mere observer of existence?
Will you simply watch from afar, in wonder,
Or grasp the baton and declare,
"I will no longer be defined,
For I am now a citizen of the unknown."
